Technobiochip has gained ample expertise with ultra-thin (bio)organic film deposition technologies (Langmuir Blodgett/Shaeffer films) and our Thin Film Laboratory can carry out thin film deposition for customers and other laboratories.
The Langmuir Blodgett method for the deposition of thin films is an easy and efficient way to deposit ordered layers of molecules on solid substrates. It is one of the few methods that allows to manipulate materials at a molecular level. It allows to produce thin films variable in composition, architecture and thickness. This technology is applicable to sensor fabrication processes as optic microchips, biological microelectrodes, etc.
The films obtained with the LB deposition are characterized by:
